Purpose and Value

Our purpose is to build a trusted Center in the country that aggressively functions to increase financial and digital literacy to optimize the potentials.

The potential for Sharia finance and digital economy in Indonesia is significantly high with a positive growth trend.

  • Indonesia’s Global Islamic Economy Index (GIEI) rank increased from 10th to 8th place between 2018 and 2019. Indonesian Islamic finance assets increased from 9th to 7th place between 2017 and 2018.There is still opportunity to improve this positive growth. Of all bank customers, only 7% use Sharia banks compared to 93% who use conventional banks. The lack of Sharia Bank customers is the result of very low Sharia financial literacy on (8.93%).
  • In 2019, Indonesia’s internet user population around 180 million people which means 67% from the total are active users. Beside of that, there are 3 million of UMKM community who have entered the online ecosystem. The growth of Indonesia digital economy is the fastest with the biggest size among any other countries in South East Asia. Also, in the same year (2019), the amount of Indonesia digital economy reaches around $40 billion (IDR 588 T). In addition, the target would be $133 billion (IDR 1.995 T) in 2025.
